Woodland Classroom at the Museum of Life and Science _ 2,615sf
The Woodland Classrooms sit on the edge of an educational woodland on the campus of the Museum of Life and Science in Durham North Carolina. The two structures adjoined by a common soaring roof provide classroom space for the museum’s k-12 programing, which prioritizes outdoor play and learning. 9 skylights, scattered pop-out windows, large spanning openings, and low-slung decks blur the boundaries between interior and exterior areas.
