Archer Lodge Park Shelter _ 3,200sf
Project Budget _ $420,000
The town of Archer Lodge (and don’t call it Archer’s!) contacted us to design the first shelter, restroom, and technology hub for their first ever town park. A razor-thin budget next to increasing construction costs led us to design a simple form and structure, utilizing prefabricated components and humble materials to anchor the building to the site. The first structure of the park, this building provides shelter for families visiting the adjacent playground, watching their children’s baseball and softball games, and enjoying the beautiful rolling landscape of the North Carolina Piedmont.
