Playframe is a playful doggie-structure designed, constructed, and auctioned off in support of local animal rescue agencies through the AIA Triangle’s annual charity event, Barkitecture.
Colorful hoppers are filled with treats, which find their way to openings in the structure hidden behind frisbee toys attached with custom elastic hinges under light tension. Upon nudging with a nose or paw, the openings are exposed long enough to allow a few treats to fall to the ground, which are promptly consumed by pleased pups.
…or that’s what we thought we had designed.
It turns out we had actually created an amazing children’s toy!
